Guard Tyrone Davis had 26 points, six assists, and seven rebounds as Northwood lost to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the NAIA Division II Sun Conference Championship game Tuesday night, 91-81.
Davis is a senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He played basketball at Boyd Anderson High School.
Davis led Boyd Anderson to the state finals where they ended as a runner-up.
He is only five foot, two inches tall. Davis is averaging 12 points a game this season.
The Seahawks are currently 30-3 this season. Northwood will play the College of the Ozarks next Wednesday in the NAIA Division II men's basketball tournament.
Davis 26 points on Tuesday night was the highest point total in a game this season.
His major at Northwood University is Automotive/After Market Management.
Gary Tuell is the men's head basketball coach of the Nova Southeastern University Sharks.
Tuell was hired for the position in 2004. In his first season with the Sharks in 2005-06, the team finished 17-11 and had an 11-5 Sunshine State Conference record.
In the 2006-07 season, the Sharks went 14-15 under Tuell. The Sharks had gone through players being injured that season.
Tuell coached the 2007-08 season with yet again players being injured. The Sharks had a 10-18 record under Tuell.
In the 2008-09 season, the Sharks went 16-11 under Tuell. The highlight moment in that season was when Nova beat Lynn University in overtime.
In his tenure in the 2009-10 season, the Sharks had no Seniors on the team and still managed to reach the Sunshine State Conference Tournament.
The Sharks lost three overtime games in the 2010-11 season under Tuell. In the 2011-12 season, the Sharks were 7-9 in the Sunshine State Conference and 13-14 overall.
He had previously been the head coach at Augusta State University.
Prior to being at Augusta State University, he was the head coach at St. Thomas University located in Miami for five seasons.
Before he was at St. Thomas University, Tuell was the head coach at Milligan College located in eastern Tennessee and Cincinnati Christian.
Tuell is from Louisville, Ky. He graduated from the University of Louisville where he received his bachelor's degree in English.
He is also the author of a book. The book is titled Above the rim: The history of basketball at theUniversity of Louisville.

Scott McMillin is the men's head basketball coach of the Lynn University Fighting Knights.
McMillin has been the head coach of the Fighting Knights since 2003 when he was hired for the position.
When he was hired in 2003, McMillin was 26 years old and the youngest coach in NCAA Division II history.
Before he came to Lynn, McMillin was the head coach at Santa Fe Community College, which is in Gainesville, Fla. He led Santa Fe with a 36-25 record as the head coach in two seasons at the school.
In his second season as head coach, McMillin led the Fighting Knights to a 29-6 record and 13-3 in conference play. The 29 wins Lynn had in 2004-05 are the most wins in one season in school history. In 2004-05, Lynn won the South Regional NCAA Championship.
In 2005-06, McMillin led the Fighting Knights to another 20-win mark. Lynn's final record in 2005-06 was 20-9 and 11-5 in conference play.
The Fighting Knights haven't had a 20-win season since the 2005-06 season.
He graduated at the University at Buffalo in 1998.
Currently, the Fighting Knights have an 11-12 record and are 3-10 in conference play.
McMillin is originally from Kansas and went to high school there. He is married with his wife Crystal, and has one daughter.
Lynn University is a small, private university with 2,109 students located in Boca Raton, Fla.
Iran Hollis has been a leader for the Nova Southeastern Sharks this season.
He is a 6'5 senior forward averaging 12.2 points a game. This is Hollis second straight season with the Sharks.
In his freshman season, Hollis only started in two games with a three point, two assist average. After his freshman season, he transferred to Santa Fe College for one season.
As a sophomore at Santa Fe College, Hollis had an average of seven rebounds and 9.1 points a game.
In his junior year, he returned to Nova Southeastern where he played in 27 games and was a starter in 18 of those games.
Hollis attended South Broward High School and also played basketball there. His hometown is Hollywood, Fla.
Hollis major is in business administration. The food that he likes to eat is chicken.
Nova Southeastern University is located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Nova is a private university that also has 148,000 alumni and 28,000 students.

FAU's Jordan McCoy had a season high 19 points in a loss to FIU last Thursday. Greg Gantt also had 19 points for the Owls. McCoy made nine out of 14 shots and nine rebounds in the game.
He went to Olympia High School in Orlando, Fla., where he graduated with a 3.5 grade point average magna cum laude.
According to FAU Sports, he "helped Olympia win Florida's 2009 Class 6A District 5 and FHSAA Region 2 championship as a senior."
In his freshman season with FAU, McCoy averaged 4.0 points a game and played 15.2 minutes a game.
In his junior season, McCoy played in 29 games and started five of those games. He mostly comes off the bench and usually hasn't started in his career with the Owls.
In his senior season with FAU, he has averaged 5.5 points a game coming off the bench.
He was considered a nominee for the National Honor Society while in high school.
Marcus Hardy is playing great for the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish despite the teams losing record.
The Sailfish are 1-20 this season after losing last night at Florida Tech 102-82. Hardy is leading the team in scoring with 16.3 points per game this season.
Hardy is a sophomore from Detroit majoring in business. A favorite player of his is Kobe Bryant.
He was named player of the week from Nov. 11 until the 17 of last year.
Palm Beach Atlantic is a small, private university located in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Northwood Seahawks guard Ra'Shad James is the leading scorer on the team.
He is a senior who traveled from Division I Iona College. James leads the team with 24.3 points per game this season. He is from White Plains, N.Y., and went to high school there. James is a big reason why the Seahawks are 24-2 this season coming off a win last night at Florida Memorial.
Northwood University is a small private school located in West Palm Beach, Fla.
